FIRST

What is FIRST?

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a robotics community designed to inspire youth through team based robotics programs.

Kick-offs launch each season introducing the theme, rules and games of the season. After kick-off, the team will design, build, and program the robot, and the team will be encouraged to contact the community through publicizing, outreach programs and industry connections. A local qualifier will be held to allow the team to participate in the regional qualifier, and from that point on, a regional qualifier will be held to allow the team to participate in the World Championship.

During last year’s competition, we successfully made it to the Northern California regionals winning the Inspire Award.
